Safety and Security​

Safety and security are very important on the campus of FBC Midlothian. KIDlothian, our school-age area, features these safety components:

DIGITAL SECURITY CAMERAS - We monitor each classroom from the Information Desk.  These cameras record classroom activity and can be reviewed by FBC Midlothian staff only. If you should have a concern or question, please see Curtis Barrett, Children's Pastor. ​

PEANUT-FREE ZONE - We have created a safe environment in which EVERY child can learn safely! We do not allow any nut products or bakery items inside KIDlothian... it is best to eat breakfast BEFORE you attend our campus on Sunday mornings! We provide a catered Wednesday evening meal, but we ask that you enjoy your food in our Family Room. Please encourage your child to finish all food and drinks BEFORE coming to class! You will notice these vinyl cling reminders on the window of each classroom! ​

HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS - Each classroom is cleaned and sanitized after each session. Foaming antibacterial pumps are located just inside of each door. Students and teachers are encouraged to use this upon entering and leaving the classroom and after hand washing to reduce the spread of germs.​

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT - Meet CHECKPOINT®, FBCMs computerized security system! Checkpoint is safe, secure and speedy! 1st thru 3rd parents will be required to match tags with their children in order to be released from class.

It is simple to use CHECKPOINT®:​

•     Using your FBC Midlothian family key fob, scan the barcode under the keyboard of the kiosk.

•     Touch the CHECK-IN button beside each name you wish to select.

•     Touch NEXT

•     Print a PARENT BADGE, touch the SECURITY BADGE button.  Repeat for the # of badges needed.

•     To print a CHILD BADGE, touch SECURITY BADGE next to each child's name.  Repeat for # of badges desired for diaper bags, backpacks, etc.

•     Touch FINISH to end your Checkpoint® session​​​
